A sudden deluge pours over the windshield distorting the scene ahead. Part of the "windshield series" this painting emphasizes some of the linear aspects of rain and water, as well as motion. It is painted on gallery wrapped linen, over a 1 1/2 inch deep cradled wood panel. Edges are hand painted, suitable for framing or beautiful as is. Hangs on a cleat, or on nails.
Heavy rain experienced from a place of comfort. My windshield paintings aim to capture these fleeting and intimate moments in time and reveal the serene center that can arise in the midst of nature’s turbulence.
